The use of clean technologies is constantly growing. Investments in this sector have been increasing mainly due to international policies to reduce fossil fuel consumption and the dependence on this resource in countries that lack of it, reduce subsidies for oil companies and energy production and reduce the amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted by burning fossil fuels.
Currently, there is a significant growth in "green" jobs worldwide. In 2008, there were about 2 and a half million jobs in this sector and it is expected that by 2030 this figure will grow to 20 million. The trends in this market not only reflects the need to act forcefully to reduce the environmental impact of human activity on the planet, but this sector also represents an opportunity for economic growth for the companies and regions that invest in it.

In addition, this industries have considerable export supply and, therefore, keep international standards of quality that will be of great benefit to the development of the sector.
